I worked as the Assistant Lighting Designer, Dramaturg, and also performed on stage. In the advanced theater class offered at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School, called "Production Workshop," students were assigned specific "jobs." My role as the Assistant Lighting Designer included lighting research, created spec sheets for lighting practicals, selected gel colors and gobos to use for specific scenes, programmed the light board, created a magic sheet and channel hookup, and lastly, designed the lights on tech weekend alongside the Lighting Designer.
