Every other year, the theater department at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School offers a "Devising Theater" class with the goal is to create an original script for the Fall play. As student in this class for the semester, I was part of the writing and researching team. Our final product was an original adaptation and devised work from George Orwell's Animal Farm. I worked as the only Assistant Stage Manager. I sewed together the "Manor Farm" sign, created scenic painting samples for the painters, and rebuilt the scarecrows every night after they were snapped in half during the performance. As the Assistant Stage Manager, I managed and moved large metal basin and burlap sacks, as well as, filled water balloons that were thrown each night. (Spring 2017)
