The Senior Play project is a three part compilation of shorter plays chosen by student senior directors in the Senior Play Project advanced class offered at Columbia Prep. The idea of the Senior Play Project is to allow seniors to completely take control of all aspects of the theater under the advisory of the theater faculty. I worked as the Lighting Designer for all three of the separate shows alongside directors Cameron Barr-Kotzen (Blueberry Hill Accords), Kylie Knieriem (Bee), and Ava Solow (Sure Thing), to help execute their lighting design visions. Included in my job was completing a channel hookup and a magic sheet, as well as completing an entire research process that I presented to each director. I was also the stage manager for this show, so I often had to wear two hats at the same time and change between being the lighting designer as well as being the stage manager and controlling the room to ensure rehearsals were running smoothly.
